How to request a quote for a screw pile foundation: data, services and responsibilities
A quote request does not have to be complicated. It must show what you are building, where, and what you want to receive from MARTETIC.

Direct answer
To begin, send the type and dimensions of the building, the locality, a plan or sketch, and photographs of the site and the access. Add the structural and geotechnical documents available. Specify whether you want only products, products with installation, or also complementary works.
The data from which the discussion can start
Say what you will build and how it will be used: a dwelling, office, warehouse, terrace, accommodation unit or another use. The dimensions and the number of levels are useful, but a plan explains more than a total area.
Add the locality and the position of the site. Distance and access influence how the work is organised. An overall photograph, a few images of the ground and a video of the access are enough to start the clarifications.
If the project is not complete, say what information is missing. A preliminary estimate with explicit assumptions can be discussed, without confusing it with the execution solution.
What documents to send depending on the building
| Building | Information that helps the quote |
|---|---|
| Container or prefabricated module | The support plan, the chassis, the reactions and the manufacturer's instructions. |
| Timber Frame, SIP or LSF house | The structural plans, the positions of the load-bearing elements and the load data. |
| Terrace or pergola | The dimensions, the proposed beams and posts, the materials and any roofing. |
| Glamping | The unit model, the anchorings, the platform, the terrace and the position of the bathroom. |
| Post or panel | The geometry, the exposed area, the base detail and the available loads. |
Send the geotechnical documentation and the existing levels for any category, if you have them. For project revisions, indicate the version on which you want the quote to be calculated.
Choose clearly what you want quoted
Supply of products
If you have a design and a team responsible for installation, the request can cover the products and the related documentation. The codes or specifications, quantities, connections and place of delivery are needed. The compatibility of the equipment and responsibility for execution must be clarified before ordering.
Supply and installation
Specify whether the request includes transport, mobilisation and bringing the points to the project levels. Mention who provides the setting-out, the level reference and the documents needed to start the work.
Complementary works
The connecting structure, local site preparation, geotextile, gravel and testing are described separately. Consultancy and design can be quoted separately, depending on complexity. Requesting an estimate does not automatically mean you have also ordered these services.
Show the access, not just the building location
A photograph of the plot does not say whether the equipment can be brought there. Indicate the clear width of the gate, tight bends, slopes, overhead cables and the unloading location.
A continuous video from the public road to the installation points helps prepare the logistics. If the ground changes a lot after rain or has soft areas, mention it.
For an assembly of buildings, specify the distances between them and the desired order of stages. Several coordinated works in the same mobilisation may be organised differently from isolated interventions, without automatically guaranteeing a particular discount.
How to compare two quotes
Compare the same result: the foundation prepared for the same structure and the same conditions. The price per piece is useful when buying products, but it does not describe the cost of the work on its own.
- Check the model, the length, the connections and the number of products included.
- See whether transport and mobilisation are included or separate.
- Clarify who carries out the design, the setting-out and the checks.
- Check how obstacles and additional works are treated.
- Read the handover conditions, the deadline, the validity and the VAT regime.
The public commercial benchmarks are in the MARTETIC price guide. For an order, the offer issued for the project and its conditions apply.
Who confirms each stage
At the start of the collaboration, set the contact persons for the client, the designer, the building's manufacturer and the installation team. It is useful for approvals and revisions to stay in the same document exchange.
The client provides the known information about the site and access. The designers determine and verify the solution within the limits of their responsibilities. The building's supplier sends the support and connection requirements. The installation team carries out and documents the works they have taken on.
The specific responsibilities are set in the project documents and in the contract. This clarification prevents the situation in which a part, a plan or a check is assumed by everyone but is included in nobody's task.
What must be closed before the installation is scheduled
Before mobilisation, confirm the accepted configuration, the quantities, the plan and the working levels. Clarify the access, the known utilities and the handover conditions.
If the foundation must receive a building on a fixed date, correlate the deadline with supply, the checks and any testing stages. Changes made after quoting must be assessed before execution.
To make a request, use the MARTETIC contact form or send the documents through the contact channels shown on the site. A request with incomplete data can be clarified, as long as the stage of the project is described correctly.
Frequently asked questions
What do I do if I don't yet have the complete project?
Send the information available and specify what is missing. The initial estimate will later have to be correlated with the confirmed documentation and configuration.
Can I buy only the screws?
You can request supply of the products. Their selection and execution must be correlated with the project, the site conditions and the team responsible for installation.
Are transport and testing included automatically?
It should not be assumed. The offer must show explicitly which services are included, separate or not contracted.
Is design included in the price of the products?
Not automatically. Design and consultancy are determined and quoted separately when requested or needed within the collaboration.
What information should I send when requesting a screw pile quote?
The site plan, the building plan and dimensions, the position of the beams or supports, the building system, loads if available, the geotechnical study if there is one, photographs, access information and known underground utilities.
Can I request a quote with incomplete data?
Yes. A request with incomplete data can be clarified, as long as the stage of the project is stated. The final configuration is confirmed after the information is checked.
Send the project for a quote
Start with the plan or sketch, the locality and the photographs. Say whether you want products, installation, or also the supporting structure.
The information explains how a project is prepared and is not an execution plan. The solution is determined for the real building and site, on the basis of the applicable documentation and the project's checks.
